As we have been invited to release the telluric image of cracked soil to embed the Reset Modernity! exhibition catalogue, we developed an original monoprint technique, by producing a set of A4 frangible concrete clichés, covered in black ink for a roller to transfer on paper their unrepeatable imprints.
Rather than a mechanical reproduction from one original to many copies, the combination of the material’s fragility with the roller’s mechanics set a peculiar transmission scheme, performed una tantum and from one to one only. The process is described in the article A process record from a frangible surface included in the exhibition catalogue.
Later, for the set up at ZKM, we took care of the layout and reproduction of the documentary Stations designed by the AIME Team in corresponce with the six exhibition's Procedures.
