THE NEXT GOLDEN RECORD
One-week Research Methodology Workshop with an International group of Jewelry design students. Participants are invited to delve into both online archives and physical repertoires to recompose a set of personal world views in a variety of formats: narrative sequences, moodboards, illustrated dictionary entries. The outcomes are eventually gathered in a collective book paying homage to the Voyager Golden Records – the two phonograph records that were included aboard both Voyager spacecraft launched in 1977, containing sounds and images selected to portray the diversity of life and culture on Earth, and intended for any intelligent extraterrestrial life form, or for future humans, who may find them.
